beacuse we're not polling the manilow-loving secretary pool (indeed, why bother), we're asking the 930 board - known personalities with opinions that come with varying degrees of respect. one of the reasons many of us hang out here is relative similarity of musical tastes.
someone might like the shins or the national's studio output, but i'd steer them away from their live shows. and that same person, knowing my musical track record, could choose to ignore my input. wether they go with my suggestion or not, they're a tad better informed in making their decision.
i don't see how additional information is a bad thing.
