Not sure if this topic has been talked about here...
 Is anyone from or live in Chicago? JBTV is an alternative music video show from Chicago which features bands, interviews, and concert footage.

 Here's the announcement for what will be on this weekend: Urge Overkill will return to TV with a rare 1993-1994 JBTV classic show this Saturday for a one-hour special.  This show will only be aired on Cable Channel 19 at 4pm.  It will NEVER air again, so tape it for a friend, or just tape it to trade with your friends, This Saturday at 4pm on CAN-TV-19.  Will show all  their videos and some live footage too.

JERRY BRYANT!!!! OMG, I grew up in Chicago and JBTV is the fucking ultimate. He looks just like Jerry Garcia, and let me tell you...this show was bar none one of the best things about living in Chicago in the early 1990's. They would videotape concerts and broadcast hightlights, play great videos, and do interviews with bands. They covered the Lollapaloozas, and in fact I have footage of me in the audience at stuff like Smashing Pumpkins and 808 State. My favorite stuff includes the Urge Overkill interview, which I do have on tape and is HILARIOUS. It brings back a lot of memories. It's funny to go back and see Radiohead as a poser band, performing live at the Metro...I would have never thought in a million years in 1993 that they actually had any talent. I can't wait to check out this web site.

if i'm thinking of the right show, i believe there's an interview with liz phair in like 1992 or 93 where he spends the entire interview hitting on her.  it's funny and sad all at once.

God, looking at this web site brings back so many memories of that show...but jeez, SO many good bands that aren't around any more either! My tastes have changed, but I had some fun times seeing Ned's Atomic Dustbin (the nicest guys), the Stone Roses, Echobelly, the Judybats, Urge Overkill...wow. I wish that they would put the show up on the internet and show some of the older highlights like the time Joey Ramone was telling the story about what inspired him to write the song "Cabbies on Crack".
