Okkervil River/Shearwater

If you don't want to see The Thrills (and why would you want to   :p  ), you should check out Okkervil River and Shearwater at Common Grounds in Arlington on Saturday.  Can't tell you anything about Common Grounds, this will be my first time there.

Your basic coffee house on the main floor, but the stage is upstairs. Not very big, but there are some tables and chairs. I think Okervil River played there before. I got nothing going on Saturday, maybe i'll come by.

They did play there before, but same night as The Wrens at Black Cat, The Wrens won out.  Thanks for the info.

really fantastic show, Shearwater were outstanding, and Common Grounds was the perfect venue for it

yes, it was great. a little too short, though  :(
 
 i hope more bands come through and play at CG, it was very intimate.

it was short, but I guess that was because of the late start, wish I had seen Of Montreal a couple of months ago there
