Anyone else going to the show at the Rams Head Tuesday?  His opening performance with the Jayhawks last year at the 9:30 was very good.  Looking forward to hearing the new material from Nashville.

I hate to post on every thread, but yes indeed, we will be at this show. Our fifth show this year. Who said suburbanites never get out of the house?

Yikes...that new record is a sleeper. Make sure you drink some coffee before you go.

Well not everyone goes to shows for the purpose of dancing and clapping and acting gay. I find the new record to be quite lovely. But apparently Josh agrees with you to some extent.

we're playing half of the nashville album and half of the 1972 album, 3 or 4 from ucbs and dressed up. i'm not sure why people are complaining about there not being enough nashville in the set. it is a ballad heavy record, might be to sleepy of a set if it was too nashville heavy.

I'm not saying that I don't like mellow music. I love a lot of styles. But Josh just sounds BORED and that's what makes it a dull record, despite a few good songs. I can see he has talent...it's just not one of his best moments.

By the way, nothing wrong with acting gay. But there is something wrong with someone implying that that it is.

Acting gay is something that I would choose not to do. Just like acting like white trash or acting like a snobby rich person or acting like some sort of thug. Not saying there is anything wrong with acting any of those ways, just saying I wouldn't choose to do so.

I'm guessing he was not bored making the album.

I like Nashville very much too.  It's not as upbeat as 1972, but the songwriting is equally as good imo.

I noticed "acting like an asshole" didn't make your list.

Then again, you're probably not acting.

When I'm doing that, I'm just mimicking you, the Master. Of course I never do it quite as good as you.

well maybe some clapping and singing along would liven things up a bit, kinda of like a folk music show.  better yet lots of people texting each other in the venue when the bits get sleepy.
