Points taken. Perhaps I mistitled the thread. I guess if it doesn't apply to you, there's no point in replying.
I don't know enough about this conference to make any sort of definitive comments (Is it an educational experience or simply a social gathering?). However, on the surface it does seem like excessive gov't spending to send our part time administrative assistant on an all expenses paid trip to NYC.
Not completely unlike the case of the 55ish (white) admin in my wife's office going to a "leadership conference" in NYC for a week. Why exactly would a 55 yo admin need to attend a leadership conference?
