Empty Glass 25th Anniversary Tour
« on: June 14, 2005, 08:08:00 am »
Ya'll can keep yer Dylan's, Stones and Pink Floyds... Me I'm awaiting a proper Pete Townshend solo tour in the US doing "Empty Glass" live.  Start  to finish this is some his best songwriting and a definite Desert Island Disk for moi.. Hopefully he could reunite the rhythm section used for this record that went on to propel Big Country.

Oh, what a show that would be.  However, I will say that I'd need some "Slit Skirts."  I'd like "North Country Girl" as well, but would settle for just Slit Skirts....

However, Empty Glass is the masterpiece, no doubt...

well since there will not be a Big Country reunion tour (didn't their lead guy Stuart hang himself or drink himself to death or something?) they could probably use the work. Also considering Zak Starkey's drumming with Oasis these days.  I concur on "Slit Skirts", probably my fave Pete solo song.  That and "Rough Boys".

stuart has indeed left this mortal coil... looking up Mark Brzeicki the drummer on allmusic reveals he is busy with the recent incarnation of Procol Harum.
