doors are 7.30. (according to Mankie, and regular weekday shows are 7.30 anyhow)

 3 hours 7.30

 support at 7.45

 till 8.30

 B&S 8.45

 till 10.15

 perfect.

the 9:30 club often fits in two decent shows a night...  did you get your tickets via tickets.com or from the band.  if if was from the band i suggest you seek clarification from them.

Here is the description of Slumber Party from allmusic:

 Who writes this crap?

Slumber Party conveys stunningly slow femme doom rock with a late-night vibe. Conceived in 1998, they initially structured melodies in the form of edgy chanteuse songcraft. Two years later they signed with major independent label Kill Rock Stars. Slumber Party has since strayed from overt rock formulae in favor of minimalist atmospherics with a phased guitar sensibility. Beat machines and synthesized tones fill the soundscape of achingly haunted and beautifully ornamented songcraft. A powerful sense of restrained intensity characterizes live performances, commanding audiences into a melodramatic seance.
I love it when restrained intensity sends me into a melodramatic seance......

Kill Rock Stars is Sleater-Kinney's label.  Doesn't sound like Slumber Party will float my boat, though.

nothing should change about the first show except for maybe starting it a wee bit earlier (support on a little earlier, compressing the time in between support and headliner) and giving you less time to hang out afterwards, which you don't want to do anyway because of the "miserable git" in the backbar.

i think you are greatly underestimating the talent of a band that you seem fairly fond of by implying that they can't pull off two shows in a night.  i've seen it done plenty of times.  it's really not that big a deal.

isn't it fairly common practice in theater to do matinee shows followed by the regular performance on weekends?  i'd say that's a fair analogy to the situation at hand.

Thanks for the comments...I  have calmed down since I first posted, although it seemed like I ended up having to defend myself for not being happy about the situation that was changed AFTER I had bought the tickets.....anyways, as calm as I am now, my gripe is that if the 1st show is moved to an earlier time I probably won't be able to make it, which had I known about the two shows in the first place I wouldn't have bought my ticket. Am I being unreasonable to be a littled peeved about that? And I still believe that you can't get the same quality show if they're doing two in the same night. If you say they can, I accept that and will wait and see.....it was more the time issue for me.

I'm sure your disbelief stems from the fact that you have never been able to "perform" twice in one night..........
