Oh, so this kind of thing is a regular occurance with this guy.  I rarely watch SC but while it was on today he made an analogy that some outfielder was to the Padres as Isaac Brock is to Modest Mouse.  I'd have to say it caught me off guard.

yeah. . .he is pretty much in hiding during the summer (except for random sportscenter appearances), as he hosts espn's hockey coverage (hockey version of baseball tonight). . .and he always throws in a reference to indie rock like that.  i think he gets the hockey gig cause he's the only one that can stand barry melrose.    :)
