i've had a drink or three with jules and he's an entirely delightful chap.  conversation is always lively.  but be weary if he starts pimping any drinks make with banana liquor.  you've been warned.

considering that our policy is that as long as it's face value it's cool to sell outside the club, this is a problem.  please send me a pm with any more details you remember (what show, description of the staff member, that kind of thing), and i'll look into it.  i'm sorry that this happened to you.

Okay, it's happened.  I'm looking for Karma.  I bought 4 Hold Steady tickets and I CANNOT FIND THEM.  One ticket was a birthday present, and the other for my friend who's moving to CA in September (and was planning to come to DC for this show from NY).  Any help finding 3 tickets (at face, since I'm already out $100 or however much the tix were) would be MUCHO MUCHO appreciated.

Nearly any other show I would just miss, but this would be a special show....

Right now on Craigslist folks are trying to get $50 per ticket (I can't remember if face value was $20 or $25 -- I think just $20).

Everyone on Craigslist is asking $40 for Hold Steady tickets (with shipping or postage on top of that).  I kinda want to turn them all in for scalping... I'm hoping supply far outstrips demand in the end and they get stuck with tickets.

 I'm still lookin' for 2.    :(

Maybe Karma was telling you to not drink so much.

if you bought them with a CC then they might be able to re-issue them.

Good thought.  Tried that, and the club doesn't have that capability (I think that's why they still rip off the stub rather than just read your ticket's bar code).

Ah, never mind. I misread your other post. My apologies.

I read a rumour that Drive By Truckers and the Hold Steady are going to tour together in November. Won't help you with your current predicament, but that would be the show to see.

Although unfortunately that sounds like it would be a DAR show to me (just guessing).

The Philly venue that was mentioned was the Electric Factory. Which DC venue does that equate to?

DAR or two nights at 930, probably.
