District Line

Not sure if this is new, but Henry Rollins has started a record label called
"District Line". It's supposed to "focus on rare and unreleased music from
the Washington DC area."  I believe the first 2 releases are:

":30 Seconds over DC" - A 1978 compilation of new wave/punk bands.  Originally
on LIMP records and put out by Skip Groff of Y&T. Includes the Slickee Boys, Nurses, 1/2 Japanese and lots more.

Trouble Funk - "Live and Early Singles".  2CD set.

Got them in the mail yesterday.  I forgot how amazing Trouble Funk was.
I hope he keeps putting out more of this stuff.

Didn't Rollins start a label with Rubin called Infinity Zero or something?  What happened with that?  I thought the Trouble Funk stuff was already re-released?

Yeah - it looks like it's the same 2 Trouble Funk CDs packaged together, so I guess this is re-re-released.  The other label is apparently dead.

" Several years ago, Rick Rubin and I had a label on Warner Bros. called
Infinite Zero and we released the two Trouble Funk CDs in this set separately.
The label went away and these great CDs went away as well. "

Trouble Funk played my senior prom in high school.  Good times.

Cheers to Henry for getting some good music out there.
