out of freaking control
« on: September 07, 2005, 02:30:00 pm »
good lord; what happened to me yesterday?  suddenly i went from a loving, peaceful man to a raving (with or without glowsticks) lunatic, foaming at the mouth at sonick, and being a real jerk.  badsushi must have been reading with mouth agape. the almighty boognish can stir the stick in the shit pretty far!  i know he doesn't care about me or what i say, or even reads what i say as he says, but i do give a humble apology to sonick for being moronically rude.  i had the worst day at work yesterday, that i have ever had . . . and i felt as if my mind may have well snapped.  like that snapple lady on celebrity fit club.

and by the way, i'm becoming swayed hardcore into queens of the stone age and their new album.  is the rest of their stuff that damn good, or is "lullaby" considered their best so far?

Walkonby, Sonickteam8² does that to everyone at some point. Eventually, you realize that he's one of those passionate sorts who fire up and lash out easily but once it's out, it's over with. Usually, that is. They also have an innate tendency to bring the very same out of us! Those sorts are usually also very caring people too who sometimes hide that side of themselves because it's hard for them to deal with. O'Mankie is another one of those. Just take them in stride and before you know it, they will be your friends.

 Just my 2 cents.

I still think anything QOTSA put out with Nick Olivieri is probably as good or better than the new record - Rated R and Songs for the Deaf are both fantastic, fantastic records.

I thought Lullaby was very strong but my preference was for Songs For The Deaf. But that's just me. They're both extremely strong releases. QOTSA and Death From Above are the only reasons I gave in and actually tickets for a show at MCI. One hell of a double bill (oh, yeah - and then there's that Trent Reznor fella).

Dear Walkonby:  I have no idea about the tirade, having been otherwise occupied over the past week...many of us are popping off these days - and not in a good way either.  Be kind to yourself as you are entitled to vent too...we all get clubbed here on occasion - but keep coming back for more.  Me thinks he might be less thin skinned - and more understanding - than most....  ;)

Just be careful there Walkonby. You might make Hoya very jealous and you might have to barricade yourself up in your little love nest in the woods.
