(Walkie maybe checking the couch for loose bills as well)
I remember hearing this when it first came out, and not really digging it. I'd like to hear again to see how it comes of after 25+ years. Might even have taped, which of course will never be found in my unorganized archives.

Various Artists, No New York(Cut Out) By 1978, punk was old news, imported from New York by Brits who sold it back to American mallrats at a serious markup. So what's a self-respecting Manhattan punk to do? Up the ante by making the most aggressively dissonant, angular racket possible. Produced by easy-listening theorist Brian Eno, this long-out-of-print set convenes slash funkers James Chance & The Contortions, the howlingly menstrual Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, Sonic Youth predecessors MARS, and weird-groove architects DNA. Yeah Yeah Yeahs fans will see their heroes' undyed roots here. But the Japanese-import price (roughly $40) means you should split the cost with some friends.
Another collection "Mutant Disco" from Ze records has been released w/ James White, Was (Not Was). Ze records has resurfaced in France.
