Manchester Re-United

With all this talk of re-uniting this came across my screen.... Do Manks trust other Manks, cause I'm a bit skeptical about a "grand finale"

Members Of Stone Roses Join To Fight Cancer

Stone Roses got the memo that 2007 was the year of reunions. Two key members of the Manchester band have finally decided to get back together this weekend to play a charity gig.

According to Albumvote, it will happen at the Versus Cancer benefit taking place at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Friday, March 30. The former bass player from The Smiths, Andy Rourke, is the event's organizer and in an interview with Music Week he stated, "Both Mani and Hooky are going to be doing something with Echo and the Bunnymen, Mani's going to be doing something with Ian Brown, and the grand finale's going to be quite special."

Other performers that evening will include Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, The Charlatans and Bernard Butler to name a few.

Hmmmmm....could end up as one big punch up on stage, or as one of the greatest re-unions of all time. If it's for a worthy cause like it is I'm sure it's a possibility, but Ian Brown is a bit of a dick so maybe his ego won't let him, and there's no Stone Roses without Ian Brown.

hmmm didn't consider the punch up angle... hmmm considering reports of ian's inability to carry a tune, I could listen to just squire play all night with the mani and reni.

So who could take Brown's place in the line-up?

Shaun Ryder would be interesting, if he could stay sober long enough to read the lyrics from the prompter in front of the stage
