Once Hippie Coutre, now tre blasé
« on: September 13, 2005, 03:08:00 pm »
At Burger King today, under the sign is a message board which reads, "Try our new Shroom Anus Beef Burger".

 It was Angus, really. <img src="http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/ruinkai/crossbonesgif.gif" alt=" - " />

Anyway, how did the word SHROOM become such a throwaway mainstream word?

I wonder what will be next???

How did you get from hippy culture straight to guns.....?

Ah the SA80. It was much more fun carrying and firing one of them than this:

I think Lee Enfield might be a bit old now....

R.Lee Enfield?  I had read that the British army is none to happy with the performance of those L85 rifles, and that they'll soon be switching to something more German-ish.

BTW, I shop at WHOLE FOODS.  I like alfalfa & guns.

Umm, yes.

There are some moderatley amusing stories. The first problem I remember hearing was in their first trip to the jungle, the insect repellent melted all the plastic.

They just look like apocalypse now to me. Those things have even more recoil than the between the wars Enfield .303.

I'm sure they are very sorry for stealing your precious little Indie word.

The M16 was considered to be futuristic for it's time...and it was also plagued with stoppages.  The SAS spoke highly of this long gun:
