january is usually slow for shows... ya expect bands playing already after the holidayz...?   :)

now that we're smoke free, we've cemented our reputation as puritanical, judgemental hayseeds, and cool bands will no longer want to play here.

Do cool bands skip NYC venues because they can't smoke? Answer is no.

Well I didn't get upstairs on Sat, but based on overheard conversations the main floor of the club is a bit less crowded with people coming and going to catch a cigarette.  So not only is the air easier to breathe, but there is more space to breathe  :)
