Just my tuppence worth.
I agree. But no one can live by PETA's standards. When I first got to DC I answered a blind classified, and I got a package from PETA with a long job application. You have to write an essay on something from their material, so I looked at the material. I could live quietly, naked and hungry, in a dark hut if I were to follow all the tenets espoused.
Still, fur coats seem overly consumptive and blithely extravagant. But I'm not going to throw paint at people... [/b]
I've had many a discussion with PETA members...basically they're nutjobs and do more harm than good (imho), some people go 180 against PETA simply because PETA pisses them off so much. They're like the Palestinians...they have a worthy cause but their actions have a negative effect on any support they could generate from outsiders.
And Rhett, how could anyone kill a moo-cow with those big brown eyes looking at you? Who am I to talk though, I'll spend hours trying to catch a cricket in the house so I can let it out the window before I'd spray the little devil with insecticide.
