Doves at Sonar

It was a pretty good show.  Good set. I liked Longwave a lot.  The sound and lights were pretty good too although I wish the show was at the 930 though...

I thought both sets were great.  I agree with you...should have been at 930...but I didn't mind as much since it was on a Saturday.  Sonar is a strange venue...when I walked in minutes before the show it was completely dark.  I couldn't see anything and it made it hard to find my friends who were meeting us there!  Is that part of setting the "mood"?

I thought Doves were a mess, musically speaking.  It seemed that Andy lost his place with the click track in Almost Forgot Myself.  But, their light show was amazing, perfectly synchronized with each song...brilliant...

Even a bad Doves show is still great...

I'm not a huge fan of Longwave's last record but their performance was OK.  Nothing spectacular, but they are tight as a band...

I echo everything Lost Soul said-

Doves were a mess - but still better than almost any other band in the world.

 There you have it.
