HIGH ZERO: 6th Anniversary Festival of Experimental Impr
« on: September 16, 2004, 07:03:00 am »
I don't want to take any attention away from snailhook's freefolk festival, since I hope to attend some of that too, but I must promote this incredible event. I attended last year and it was in a word, unforgettable.

 in Baltimore
 Thursday Sept. 30th-Sunday, Oct. 3rd
@ The Theater Project 45 West Preston Street
 http://www.highzero.org/

As the site indicates, the festival is an outgrowth of the infamous Red Room; the hot,  sweaty backspace of the Normal's bookstore which has held some of the most unique obscure film screenings/experimental live music this 19 year old has experienced thus far. God I miss those days.

Next to Microcinefest in November, this is the best thing Baltimore has going for it. Yaaay for cool shit!!

this festival is certainly a treat. unfortunately, it comes at the worst weekend of the year for me.

i'll be managing nik turner on 9/30 and the festival at my place on 10/2. do make say think is on 10/3.

i might make the 10/1 show, but i'll probably end up going to the recher for bongzilla and monster magnet.

jack rose was going to play my free folk fest but high zero didn't want him bailing early or something. jack is phenomenal.
