New Guns N' Roses Single Hits Radio Tomorrow
 October 21, 2008 , 5:15 PM ET
 Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

The title track from Guns N' Roses' new album, "Chinese Democracy," will be available to download by U.S. radio outlets at 5 a.m. ET tomorrow morning (Oct. 22). Although some album tracks leaked this summer, this is the first authorized new music from the group in nine years.

As previously reported, "Chinese Democracy" the album is due Nov. 23 exclusively via Best Buy. The 14-track set includes only three songs that have not either been performed live or leaked online in recent years.

Guns N' Roses was last on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart in 1999 with "Oh My God," its contribution to the "End of Days" soundtrack. The song peaked at No. 26. Prior to that, it hadn't appeared on the tally since 1994, when its cover of "Sympathy for the Devil" from the "Interview With a Vampire" soundtrack reached No. 10.

Guns'n'Roses doesn't exist...this is the Axl solo project. It doesn't suck entirely, but it is a zillion years away from Appetite.

What if this shit drops and it actually DOES have the reunited band on it, and Axl had just pulled the biggest surprise of the century.  That would rule.

yeah . . . but smashing pumpkins doesn't exist, but when the new album came and the secret show exploded, so many on here stole their lives from christ for their real hero worship.  so who's in the band so does not count in here.

i maintain that the leaked album was quite good.  it's what i'd expect a modern hard rock album to sound like.  i look forward to the full release.

only the leaked version.  over-produced, like the rest of the album, but in an effective way.

I still stand by my statement that I love just about everything on the overproduced leaked album. Seriously.
Woof.

If I heard the song without knowing it was GNR, I would've assumed it was a modern band trying to sound like them.  But since I know, I know thing it sounds pretty fucking bland.

Of course, that album was doomed from the moment they released the Spaghetti Incident...it's the Episode I of the music world.

All sound and fury signifying "suck".   This song makes no sense and has no point.

Dr Pepper Delivers, Just Like Axl

It's a good week to be a Guns N' Roses fan.

Not only has the honest-to-goodness, scout's honor release date been announced for the long-awaited (seems like an understatement doesn't it?) album Chinese Democracy, there's a free Dr Pepper to go with it.

The company is making good on a promise it made that if the album every really hit store shelves they'd give every American a free Dr Pepper.

"We never thought this day would come," said Tony Jacobs, vice president of marketing. "But now that it's here all we can say is: the Dr Pepper's on us."

To claim your freebie, visit to DrPepper.com on the album's release date and register your information to receive a coupon for one free 20-oz. Dr Pepper.

Coupons will be available for 24 hours, starting at 12:01 a.m. ET on November 23 and expire February 28, 2009.

A new GNR album and a free soda. Is this a great time to be alive or what?
