it was a great show. i saw them open up for interpol at the club a few years ago.  last nights show was better only because we got to hear a bunch of new songs.

Did anyone happen to pick up a setlist?  I didn't recognize the last song before the encore.

it was a pretty good -- i agree. a lot of the new tracks are cool, but i was a bit disappointed to not hear more of the frenetic stuff from the older albums. i'm a huge downtempo guy, so i could even live with the s/t album stuff. hell -- just some older stuff period. was it just me or did it seem like they played maybe 4 old songs at most (if you include one being the intro from "melody of..." album)?

the show would've completely killed if they played at least some of "fake can be just as good" ("kasuality" or "futurism vs. passeism") or anything from "la mia..."

i likely would've melted on the floor (and not in your hands) if this would've occurred.

I'm not understanding why this has been such a big deal lately.

personally, i won't make an issue of people around me dancing or not.  if the music moves me, i'm going to funk out whether others are or not (or if they're looking at me).

the only reason i've been able to come up for complaining about others' lack of dancing is if it is having an effect on the performers.  if they're used to rocking the joint every night and all of a sudden are faced with a wall of statues, that might throw them off - and possible negatively affect your evening's entertainment.

on the other hand, some artists rise to that challenge and will try twice as hard.  i saw Prince twice on his last tour, and the crowd in philly wasn't quite as energetic as the DC fans.  did the purple one pout and retreat?  nah, he kicked it up a notch and won people over... a great performance.

Agreed, I would've loved to hear "Pier Paolo", but I was happy they played "Falling Man" and "Equus" from  Misery is a Butterfly .

It was my first time seeing them in concert and thought it was a really good show. I also really liked the opening band. Overall a great concert.
