I'll admit to taking some pleasure from the anthemic cheeseball "When We Were Young". Better than 90% of the stuff you'll hear on pop/ac/mix stations at least.

I don't mind the Killers.  I misread the thread - I thought it was just "pretentious" artists.  They're also not indie.  I'll sit the next few plays out.

I gotta nominate Regina Spektor.
 
 Was forced to listen to entire CD in car last week and it was just ... so ... pretentious and painful and ... baaaaaaaad.
 
 Funny thing is I recall hearing a track or two from her previous CD last summer and thinking it was OK so maybe it's just this new one that I HATE?
