The Fun Is Back In Town
« on: July 18, 2004, 01:51:00 am »
Your Pal aka Pete Wright held his CD release party at the Velvet Lounge tonight and proved that being able to rock out and have fun at the same time is still possible in DC.  I always called his former group the Milk-o-matics the only fun band in town. And with Your Pal and his Popagenda Pete Wright' back to his old tricks.

Playing primarily as duo with a drummer, Pete switched between guitar and bass and played all the songs from his new cd "This is MY pop".  He also tossed in a couple cover Cheap Tricks "He's a Whore" and Prince's "Purple Rain" which gives a sense of what his Popagenda is all about.

"In such a serious age, the only real protest is fun"  Your Pal with apologies to The Refused
