Bars near the club (i know, repeat)
« on: February 21, 2007, 01:04:00 pm »
i know its been posted before, but without a damn search function, it was nearly impossible to find.

few friends and i were going to get drinks after a show; what are some solid, low-key bars, preferably within walking distance of the club?

And while you're helping chokey, can you list a good place to watch a basketball game before a show?

Bring your 9:30 ticket to Duffy's and you can get a cheap Guinness before the show. Or at least you could the last time I tried.

Saloun is a good spot.  Velvet Lounge is good as well.  Two very different bars though.

i like solly's a lot, a friend of a friend owns the place and it has a great neighborhood vibe

DC9 is your best jukebox bet

i don't really like duffy's that much, feels too sterile for me

saloon is awesome (saloUn is the pretender in georgetown), great laid-back place
