Rhymesayer bigwig/indie-rap heartthrob Slug and his duo Atmosphere broke into the mainstream with Seven's Travels, which can only bode well for E&A (Rhymesayers/Epitaph), the second collaborative effort from Slug protégé Eyedea and DJ/producer Abilities. Backed by Abilities' increasingly deft production, Eyedea shows off the fierce skills, blistering battle-raps, and snarky humor that made him an acclaimed live performer, while eschewing the pretension that occasionally made his and Abilities' debut sound like the work of a freshman philosophy student after a couple of bong hits...
