caught his show in ann arbor monday, pretty breathtaking. 3 hours+ spread across three sets, and he's probably as old as the drive-by truckers combined. he performed the entire smile album in order, did a lot of the better beach boys tunes, some songs off imagination, and looked like he was having a great time. his band even used firemen hats as props at one point, i'm still laughing at that one...the smile stuff sounds better live than on disc, i'm hoping they have the sense to make a dvd of the show at some point, as smile in 5.1 would really be something. a pricey ticket, but the show friday is worth considering.
