tonight's show marks the end of a marathon session for me at the 930. while i'm not an old-timer, i'm convinced it's been a while since the club has assembled a stronger one-week line-up. my assessment:
LCD = ben gibbard (x2) > air > arctic monkeys > !!!
missing, because i just didn't have the endurance on friday and saturday: clutch and the kooks. by all accounts, they also put on solid-to-f'ing-impressive performances.
sad part is, !!! put on a great show. had they been the only show of the week, i would have been going off on them. i guess it's a case of "poor little rich boy"
missing at the end of this equation: > than 95% of shows one gets in any other town all year (with the possible exception of NYC, LA and SF - we're in the big leagues!).
we are very lucky to have the 930. that was simply an amazing week of live music.

p.s. the 930 had one of the best staph teams, like, evar. y'all rock almost as hard as the acts you attract!
