ZZ Top, Evanescence and Velvet Revolver are among the acts scheduled to play this year's inaugural Rock on the Range festival, set for May 19 at the 22,555-seat Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
"We took a hard look at the entire region and tried to come up with a location that would be central to several major markets, as well as secondary and tertiary markets," AEG Live VP of Midwest operations Joe Litvag tells Billboard.com. "Secondly, I have an incredible partnership in place with our allies at Crew Stadium. We have a large space conducive to the festival atmosphere with plenty of room to grow in future years."
Also booked to appear at Rock on the Range are Hinder, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Puddle Of Mudd, the Operator and Black Stone Cherry.
