Napolean Dynamite

Has anyone else gone to see this movie?  I found it to be completely plotless yet highly entertaining.  I can also see this guy actually being cool in certain social circles.  He's like Ben Folds meets Beck.  with buckteeth.

Yep...there's already a thread started on the film. I liked it a lot, others didn't. *shrugs*

I've been wanting to see it but it doesn't appear to be playing on too many screens. It looks like a pretty good movie. My question is-- why does he always appear to be semi-comatose?

We saw this film at the AFI Silver (gorgeous theatre, for those that haven't been there - strongly recommend it, if for no other reason than they serve good beer there :=)).

I agree that it had no plot but was mildly entertaining. Not sure if it was worth $8. Personally, I'd wait for the DVD.

And that extra ending....so not worth it.

saw this movie twice in the theaters! I love stupid stuff. Welcome to the dollhouse, Bottlerocket, Happiness... I'm sick of looking at gorgeous people when I go to the movies, I want to see humans at their ugliest moments.

I think the scene that trumped them all was the therapist daydreaming that he was walking through the park with a machine gun.  But hey, that's just me.

There is one little bit that not many people notice, the dad goes to the Doctor and the doctor says words to the effect of "stay away from the salt and you will live forever" At the family meal, the dad piles on the salt.

In the dream park scene do you like how it is almost one member of a couple that gets cut down, leaving the other half of the couple to mourn dramatically?
