It is considered an illegal MP3 site by labels because none of the revenue goes directly to the labels/artists.

the catch is that by skirting the same legal issues, you could get all that music for free
 
 so you're essentially paying someone to categorize all the illegal and free shit out there on the interweb ... if that's what you're looking for, then go for it
