Stops will be made at historic locations throughout the city, including â?? the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site Grounds, U Street â?? Shaw neighborhood landmarks, and Section 27 at Arlington National Cemetery, where several African-American Medal of Honor recipients are buried. Learn about famous black Washingtonians and 200 years of Black History as you ride by relevant sites. <P>Lunch may be purchased at the High Noon Café in the Museum, where a model of the future Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is on display. Children over six are welcome. <P>The tours will be canceled if two inches or more of snow is forecast by 7:00 a.m. on February 22. <P>One-hour Walking Tours also will be given on February 22. These tours begin every half-hour from 11:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. and offer a panoramic overview of the history and character of the U Street-Shaw neighborhood area. The Walking Tours start at the U Street-Cardoza Metro station (Green Line â?? 10th & U Street exit). <P>Each February, members of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) celebrate International Tourist Guide Day by sponsoring educational programs and tours in major cities throughout the world. 2003 will be the fourteenth year that the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington, DC has hosted a tour for residents of the metropolitan area. <P>Motor coach companies, which are members of the American Bus Association, will be important participants in International Tourist Guide Day.
