Alejandro Escovedo benefit concert

 Ian Hunter to play NYC on 3 September
 
 Ian Hunter has agreed to perform at an Alejandro Escovedo benefit concert at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on 3 September 2003. The show is still being finalized, but other acts slated for the show are Cindy Bullens, Los Lonely Boys, The Last Hombres (featuring Levon Helm), and Willie Nile. Ian is expecting to play a 45 minute set. Tickets are not on sale yet, so you'll need to keep checking here or the Mercury Lounge website for more information. There is also a website set up to coordinate the many Alejandro benefits being held around the country, located at www.alejandrofund.com.

Hope he's in a better mood than when i saw him at the Recher a few years ago.Grumpy bitter man,acted like he'd rather not be playing at all.I'm a huge fan,MTH were a great band.Boy,I sure miss Mick R.
