A close friend of mine who grew up with Kenna in VA Beach turned me onto him a couple years ago. Since that time he made what seems to be a poor decision and signed to Flawless Records (Fred Durst, bleh!) which has been putting off the release date for a painful long time. It was supposed to be put out Sept 2001 and has been put off and pushed back for lord knows why. In the mean time it has been available via MP3 and has attracted quite a following. At any rate I really like this album and it has been on my radar for quite some time. It's a tough style to describe and compare to other bands (some people have gone as far as Radiohead, Beatles, Depeche Mode but I don't really see it). Lots of synth, looped guitar parts, hip hop influenced drum beats, and inspired dark melodies. Unfortunately I can see it hitting the airwaves a bit but I can't blame an artist for commercial success as long as the music is good.
