incidentally, Toby Keith has come out against the war in Iraq ... to turn a phrase, when you've lost Toby Keith, you've lost the country.

Oh, I forgot a funny story related to the doodle election farce,

My mother in law works at a hospice for nuns. Anyway, they (the nuns) were all talking about the upcoming election and one nun says, "well, I hope the catholics in America all vote for Bush because he's dead against abortion" the other one replies, "What!!! Yer eejit, he only keeps them alive so he can kill them in the electric chair later on"

 Oh those whacky, whacky nuns!

The only thing I see in there is...
"Considering a recent newspaper interview, though, wherein Keith "expressed mixed feelings about the Iraq war" "

That doesn't sound to me like he has 'come out against the war in Iraq'.

Wrong Hall. Darryl Hall is the one with Hall & Oates.
