What does it matter???  With no arms and legs now they're just useless.

I'm not saying that's the way I feel, I'm probably more on the pussy side with you...but the fact remains that most service people are on the side of war....so why feel sorry for them?

Why feel sorry for them??

how about because they had to leave their loved ones behind for a war that is unjustified, ill-planned and costing thousand upon thousand of innocent lives...at the end of the day I doubt they're getting a good night's sleep... and it's sad...Afghanistan, justifiable...Irak..well we all agree on that I think..

Well most of THEM don't think it's unjustified. Otherwise, why would two thirds of military spouses (probably even higher among military themselves) voted for Bush?

That's OUR opinion. If they think it's justified, and they lose an arm or two in the process, I'm sure they don't want us pussy liberals feeling sorry for them.

I read that this morning, I agree with you Medusa. A bit of hope is better than no hope at all.   :)

Just because you choose to be in the military doesn't necessarily mean you favor war.  It's more about defending the country.  Hence the question is, how is the war in Iraq defending the country, when there is no proof of WMD's or of the link between them and 9/11and or Al Qaeda?

Ask the boys and girls in the military, not me.

I bet most of them are still in favor of being there, and in favor of Bush.

You are exactly right, the military usually favors the decision of the President. When I was serving, I felt honored to be in the middle east and felt it was my duty to be over there. Period.
