Actually Brennser is from S. Ireland which isn't considered Britain (yet).

Maybe it has something (i'm sure very little, though) to do with trying to manage their hair after it gets wet. Most black women have hair that gets big, tangly and unmanagable when moisture gets to it. But i know that can't be the only reason.

Maybe because a vast majority of them aren't in wealthy enough schools/areas to have swimming programs, and most can't afford the expensive bicycle equipment.
