A quick note about our fearless leader...
« on: June 29, 2007, 11:01:00 pm »
I've been away at the SP residency in Asheville, so I've been unable to make a note about this, but better late then never.

Recently in our Manu Chao/Thievery roundup thread, I made a passing note that I had missed where the pit ticket stubs were being given back after the show. No big deal really, but I like ticket stubs. Seth made a point to PM me and ask for my address and sent me two unused tickets and those little mini-advertisement cards for the show. Obviously, he did not have to do this, but I appreciate the gesture, and think it's really great that someone so busy running multiple venues would seek out someone on a messageboard to correct what was ultimately my mistake.

Just thought a quick note was necessary and hopefully puts in perspective for people what an asset we have in the DC scene. Respect is due.

vive le seth!  the music fan has it pretty good here in DC, in no small part because of the 930/IMP.

some bitchy curmudgeon is going to pipe up and say "what's with all the ass-kissing, he's just a club owner?".  guaranteed.

Julian, it's funny you write this because I was about to poast a kudos to Seth in the Seth thread.
I had a question about fees and I wrote Seth, who wrote me back with a detailed and sufficient answer. However, he asked if another person could contact me about this. Another person on staff contacted me with additional support regarding my question. He went above to make sure I was satisfied with the service and my concern was heard. He's a class act.
