They look like normal human beings, not androids...which is rare.

Ah, but there's the key. You know darn well that if any of these women hit on one of the guys who worship at their feet, at a time or place where the guys didn't know who it was, the girls would be shot down.

Not in DC....the bloke is more likely to die of a heart attack from the shock that a woman is actually being civil towards him.

Except for friends, I find the exact same thing is true for we women concerning most men in DC.
How do these people ever hook up, as so many of them seem to do?

The key is to mask your bitterness...or find someone as bitter as you. Then they will be civil.

Either that, or tell them you're a lawyer, or you work on the Hill. That usually softens up their hearts. Telling them you sell cars, even if it's fancy cars, aint going to impress too many DC women.

I think it all depends on the circles you travel in.  If you hang with a bunch of people who don't give a shit about their job, then career moves don't mean anything.

Sadly, I think this is more often the real reason.

In fact, I know a guy who met up with some woman in DC through a dating agency or a personal, or something like that, and this woman came right out and told him in the beginning that she wouldn't even consider dating anyone who made under $250,000/year because that's what her ex-husband made and that's the life-style she was use to. No wonder the bitch was divorced! What I'd like to know, was this supposed to be a date or a job interview for this woman?

Actually, the exact opposite is the truth....not that I try to pick up chicks anymore, but if my job ever comes out in conversation they seem very impressed, although I don't understand why... and that's men and women. I usually just say "sales" when asked what I do, for that very reason.

I stand corected. Tell em you do statisics, and where where that gets ya. Being a teacher was much more conducive to scoring. Not that I was trying. Of course they didn't want to stay with you long term, because you didn't make any money...

It's even stranger as a women telling a guy that you're a teacher. It didn't phase some where others would seem very interested. The thing is though, I couldn't tell if they were looking for a mother or a kinky hot teacher experience.
