well first date : 7/16 philly tla
 
 dc should be soon, I really want to see them on as many dates as i can
 
 there LP is amazing just got it the other day (well downloaded) and its seriously the best thing I've heard in years...

In the latest Rolling Stone it says Jeremy Ward died of a drug overdose.

Jeremy Ward did die, not Jim Ward (the guy from Sparta), thats his cousin.  I dont know how really, but he's definitely gone. He was a mysterious dude anyway, because when I saw them at Coachella (awesome performance!!), he wasnt there, but then i heard he was there performing, just not onstage.  or whatever.  I assume they are still touring, and thier show is unparallel to anything i have ever seen.  not better necessarily, just totally different. I cant wait!

jeremy ward peformed offstage with his computer... he was the sound manipulator.
 he died of a heroin overdose.
 
 hopefully the mars volta will play dc on the 17th.

looks like no dc date at all philly and ny are yr best bets tix go on sale tom 12 ticketmaster...

Two questions...
 
 1. Where are you finding this info? On their website, it only has a handful of dates listed...
 
 2. Nevermind, I just answered it.  They're playing the Theater of the Living Arts in Philly.
