Juice WRLD

"The officers and agents had been waiting at the Atlantic Aviation hangar at Midway early Sunday because they suspected the private plane from Los Angeles carrying the musician — whose real name was Jarad Higgins — was carrying contraband, the sources said.

The search turned up 41 “vacuum-sealed” bags of marijuana, six bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup, two 9 mm pistols, a .40-caliber pistol, a high-capacity ammunition magazine and metal-piercing bullets, according to the sources. Two men identified by police as working security for Higgins were charged with misdemeanor offenses for illegally possessing the guns and ammunition."

How on God's green Earth those that only equate to misdemeanor offenses? I'd think 41 bags of marijuana alone -- even at a  hilariously low estimate of a gram per bag -- would get into felony possession amounts in most states.

the bags were vacuum sealed.  he was on a private plane.  no way in hell those were dime bags. definite felony.

notice the quotes....small amounts are usually in those bags that you can stick in a hot sealer machine so it looks like they were 'sealed at the factory'
Doubt they sealed like they do a can of coffee

Still I'd bet that each bag on the low end was in the 3 to 8 gram amount each...which is 6-10oz ...even in recreational states can be over the personal limit
now going from a Rec state to a Rec state (as Ill is now The Illinois General Assembly passed a HB 1438 legalizing recreational marijuana use and sale in the state for adults on May 31, 2019. Governor JB Pritzker signed the bill into law on June 25.) makes it a little more complicated

Edit...When will marijuana be legal in Illinois? January 1, 2020....so this is very problematic, should have waited a few weeks

nailed it:

Before Death, Juice WRLD Flew on Jet Loaded With Drugs, Police Say

"Authorities said that when the plane landed at the Atlantic Aviation hangar at Midway airport, it was carrying approximately 70 pounds of marijuana in 41 vacuum-sealed bags; six bottles of liquid prescription codeine cough syrup; and three firearms, including two 9 mm pistols and a .40-caliber pistol, along with metal-piercing bullets and a high-capacity ammunition magazine."

per another story, dude died after swallowing a bunch of percosets, which he did to hide them from the police.  narcan didn't work...

Law enforcement sources said that the pilot who was flying the private aircraft notified investigators about the drugs and firearms that Higgins and his entourage had brought onto the flight out of Los Angeles, TMZ reported.  Federal law enforcement officials were waiting for the plane when it landed at Chicago’s Midway Airport just after 1 a.m., Higgins allegedly downed the pills sometime between when the plane landed and when federal investigators came on board, As police were questioning the dozens of passengers, Higgins suddenly went into convulsions, according to The New York Times. Federal agents administered Narcan and summoned paramedics who arrived at the scene less than seven minutes later

there was some foreshadowing...
Juice Wrld eulogized both Peep and XXXTentacion in an EP, released days after XXX died. One track from the release, “Legends,” has been cited often in reflections on Juice Wrld’s short career. “What’s the 27 Club?” Juice Wrld sings in reference to a group of public figures who infamously died at the age of 27. “We” — his fellow Soundcloud stars — “ain’t making it past 21.”

There's something so poetically amazing about Fox News thinking he was "the star of Do The Right Thing".

If an article starts off by telling us the band was "influential", it must tell us who the band influenced. Otherwise, failed article!
