Seiji Ozawa

Really hits home

He was such a part of the Tanglewood music culture where I spent many a younger day.

I don't have many of his recordings, but if you could only have one of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" get Ozawa's 1968 with the Chicago Symphony on RCA, and crank it up!

Current world record holder in the Marathon

I guess this gives some of you other runners a chance to be the first to do a sub-two hour marathon.

This is kinda wild. Dude was 33 seconds away from sub-2 and almost certainly would’ve been the dude to crack it but died in a car crash.

William “Bill” Post, Pop Tart inventor
At least he lived long enough to see his dream come true: for Pop Tarts to sponsor a mid-level college football bowl game and roll out an anthropomorphized, edible Pop Tart mascot that the winning team ate as a celebration while fans chanted "CONSUME HIS FLESH" as though it was some bizarre religious transubstantiation ritual. May we all be so lucky to change the world around us.
