"The Longest Winter" by Pedro the Lion (and everything on that album)

I think the only reason this list would make me sad is due to the overwhelming amount of crap. [/b]
Right.  Well, you see, I listen to everything, as opposed to selective elitist artists.  So I'm sorry you don't agree down to a tee with my musical choices.  Some of those songs obviously have sentimental value to me.  You don't have to be so rude about it.

Well, I guess I won't list my favorite sad hair band ballad songs, because I'm sure most people will think they are crap.

How is this sad? It feels almost celebratory to me.

Perhaps "melancholy" or "nostalgic" would be a more apt desription.  I just find the tone of the music to be somewhat forlorn.

New Order - "Leave Me Alone"
 Sort Sol - "Marble Station"
 Lowlife - "Eternity Road"
 Slowdive - "Dagger"

The list could go on and on.

If you don't know Lowlife, do yourself a favor and check them out. They were a great Scottish band from the 80s formed by Will Heggie of the Cocteau Twins.

I'm always sad when people think that's a Jeff Buckley song.
