Well, I have a vintage Smiths t-shirt but that's too obvious, and I have a Manchester United team jersey and t-shirt and also a Roy Keane t-shirt...the Roy Keane one would be more for the in-in-crowd, you'd have to either be a manc or a English footie fan big time to make that connection. I'll probably end up wearing a summer casual button-up shirt though, because the last time I wore something manc at a Morrissey show I was innundated with questions about "are you from Manchester? KEWL!" It's great if you're trying to score with a chicky-babe because it's a good ice-breaker, then the accent pretty much does the rest, but now I'm married and faithful as a labrador it's kind of annoying. If I see anyone with a New York Dolls t-shirt at the show I'll buy them a beer because that's a real in-in-in-crowd connection.
Oh, I'm happy to report our new sofa will fit perfectly in our new house. We got a great deal on it too, so the wife's happy, and I'm happy I don't have to get dragged around furniture stores anymore - those people are more annoying than car sales people aren't they? My Tuesday evening was much more productive than a Billy Corgan with a punkins cover band gig.
