Just my $.02 as well... The only band I endured the pit for was Interpol. Whom I thought were great, short, but great. All the kids surrounding me however, proceeeded to pretty much ignore the performance. I ran to get a beer before Echo played, big mistake I soon found out
). Garbage was good, although I'm not much of a fan. Good Charlotte was god awful. Why were they so late in the day is all I ask? And to wear your own band's shirt... Atleast I have good taste in never liking them! I really enjoyed Billy Idol & Coldplay, however IMO Social D was the absolute best. I definitely must see them if they do a club tour.
Now, my other comments. I have not been to an hfstival since '99 and now I remember why I stopped going. The crowds, the overpriced drinks and food, and the pot smoking. I could barely breath once we moved to the upper level to avoid the rain. And the youth of america had better start exercising is all I can say! I have never seen so many people who shouldn't be baring so much skin at one time in quite a while! If this is what they look like in their teens and twenties, wait until they hit their mid 30's like me.
