Not sure if it's the same across the water, but here in Ireland all proceeds from the Fairytale of New York single go directly to a fund to get justice for Kirsty MacColl after her unfortunate 'accident'.

as for openers, Saw Doctors are opening the Borgata show the saturday, so I'd assume they're opening in DC

Not really a possibility since they are headlining at the Birchmere on 3/9.

going to see the pogues friday night...then saturday scored cheap tickets to dublin, so flying out of DCA saturday afternoon to spend 2 weeks in ireland.  can't wait.

Probably doesn't mean anything but I think the Walkmen are opening for them in NY and Boston.

According to the Pogues website and his own website, it seems that William Elliot Whitmore will open on Friday in DC, anybody heard anything about him?

Where is everyone partying before the Friday show?  There was a debate a couple months back on the best Irish Pub in DC...  
 
 We're coming in from Michigan and would love to down a few pints before hand!
