God Loves Metal: Norma Jean/AILD DJ Set List
« on: December 01, 2005, 02:26:00 am »
Well folks, I love metal. I love one chugging note played over and over on a loud as shit distorted guitar. I love some trendy little tattooed boy screaming and a couple of dissonant solos in the middle. So last night was sweeeeeet. I also, however, enjoy some social beverages to compliment my metal. So i was slightly taken aback when norma jean, good christian kids that they are, politely refused my offer to partake in my usual metal routine of jäger shots, Alistair Crowley recitations, and testing the limits of groupies' adorations. Boy was my face red. Here is what was playing from those magic turntables in the sky...

Iron Maiden - Can I Play With Madness?
The Bronx - Heart Attack American
 Tragedy - Vengeance
 Read Yellow - The Association
Murder City Devils - Another Round On You
 Mewithoutyou - January 1979
 Hellacopters - Love and Toys
Showbread - Mouth Like a Magazine
 Sabbath - Supertzar
 -------------
Botch - Mondrian Was a Liar
Haste the Day - When Everything Falls
 Mastodon - Blood and Thunder
Misfits - Dig Up Her Bones
 Darkest Hour - Eclipse
 --------------
 D Generation - Frankie
 Underoath - Reinventing Your Exit
Every Time I Die - I've Been Gone A Long Time
Planes Mistaken For Stars - Belly Full of Hell (go see this band... they get naked by the third song)
 -------------
 Refused - New Noise
 Black Dahlia Murder - Apex
 Atreyu - Bleeding Mascara
 Hope Conspiracy - Fragile
Death From Above 1979 - Blood on our Hands
 Lars Fredricksen/Bastards - Bastards
As Cities Burn - Bloodsucker Pt II
 Pantera - Walk
 Slayer - Show No Mercy
 Megadeth - Sweating Bullets
 Spoken - Bitter Taste
 Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized
Million Dead - Breaking of the Back
 ------------
Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild
 Motorhead - Ace of Spades
 Misfits - Last Caress
 Social D - Sick Boys
Sweet - Fox on the Run

Niiiiiiiiiice. Unfortunately, yesterday morning my house was broken into (yay for "transitional" neighborhoods!). Some crackhead got away with a very extensive collection of music he's never heard of, so I hope his fucking head explodes when he listens to all my awesome music that he stole. So definately a huge thanks to everyone who let me borrow some CDs (and Nick's iPod) to get us through the night. I think we did OK! So, until next time: kill em all, let god sort em out.
 Love,
 Kara
