Rain, flooding and BRMC

So what if the rain is so bad it floods things.  Any chance this show will be called off?

if they cancel it, I will become MURDEROUS.  I'm going to camp out in DC all day with my laptop if I can, in case it gets really bad, so I don't have to drive.  this is the concert of the year, I will NOT miss it unless it's cancelled

I thought the bulk of the rain would be arriving in the overnight hours.  Thus the show can go on.

You speak with such assured authority that anyone would think you had a direct line to god. Jesus, is that you?

I am just afraid that the DC storm drains will fail.  I remember the night of the Fall show at the Black Cat that all down Florida Avenue the sewer lids were popped off from the water overflow, so if it does get really intense and flood the club, that would suck.

FYI Evil Satan is getting sandbags, so I think the backbar will be OK, for once.

Just watch out for that damn outside grating as sometimes it seems the storm drain by the main door just "stops".  Eerie when you realize that it is completely filled with water.

I have no doubt that the show will go on unless BRMC can't make it up from NC, which is where they are playing tonight.

What really has me extremely concerned is all of the driving that I have to do from the north of Baltimore. Very heavy rains and lots of strong winds are not the safest of driving conditions even if it slows down to a tropical depression. And that's not even considering my small car with crappy tires and other crazy drivers on the road. Most of us don't have the luxury of being able to drive a Volvo, Hummer, or some other heavy duty piece of metal.

The way that I see it, we'll all be drenched rats when we show up to the show, get the worst of it while BRMC are onstage and then have even worse conditions to have to drive home in.

Anyone up for an all night Hurricane party?   :D

While we're at it, who all is going? Come Hell or high water, I'm doing my best to be there.
