Yesterday and today it looks like we're living in a snow storm, only it's 70 degrees outside. Ash everywhere....
Wednesday, 100% it looked like we were living on Mars, only we could breath. I was telling Godshoeshine that the air created a blanket of smoke high in the atmosphere that the sun couldn't penetrate (we literally could not see the sun or any outline of it), but the Air Quality Index (AQI) was mostly green (0-50) and healthy. It just looked crazy intense with that smoke dome lit up bright orange.
But, as soon as that air flow that sucked all the smoke into the atmosphere stopped, the entire smoke blanket dropped on us and it's bright again, even though it looks like it's quite foggy, but it's not. It's smoke and the AQI is above 200 which is terribly unhealthy for everybody. And it's only going to get worse through the weekend.
As odd as it is to say, I'll take Wednesday's apocalyptic look of crazy over today's brighter regular look with AQI's above 150 any day...
