I'm taking a bow here.

This conference just had people stand up if they played video games.  I was the only one standing after the question "who plays video games more than 6 hours a week?" was asked.  I was prepared to stand a lot longer.

How does that conference tie in with your work at a university?

Then it occured to me that the same argument can be made about Apple and its market share for digital downloads.  It's no wonder that hollywood hasn't embraced the digital download model for its movies - who wants to be beholden to Apple (read: Jobs) when it comes to digital distribution?  The music industry has well documented the history of its struggles with Apple and it's proprietray DRM and hollywood likely wants no part of it.  Apple only has deals with Disney, where Jobs is coincidentally the largest shareholder.

Workforce Development.  We actually sponsored the conference to hear from Digital Media companies about how we can better prepare our graduates for the future workforce.

I'd be so ashamed if I were you.  But hey, if you want to act like an extra in "Make Love, Not Warcraft" go right ahead.  That's pathetic.  You're an adult and you play more than six hours a week of video games?!?!?!  Your wife's a doctor and she stays with you?  I haven't played six hours of video games in my LIFE.

not surprising.  between complaining and re-hasing your over-used "hate anything pre-2002, love MCR" routine, i can't see how you could have done anything for more than 6 hours in your life - exception made for sleeping,  and annoying/boring people.

I'll bet the 50,000 times he's masturbated in his life would add up to 6 hours or so.

not surprising.  other than complaining and calling on your over-used "hate anything pre-2002, love MCR" routine, i'd be shocked if you've done anything for more than 6 hours (other than sleep and annoy or bore people). [/b]

6 hours = 21600 seconds... for 50k wack-offs.

forget being a minute-man - our walalce is a sub-second man!  but it's less embarrassing than playing video games, right brian?

add that to his delightful disposition and the numerous different topics of conversation he seems so versed in, and we have a real winner with the ladies.

First off, you're not capable of being me.

But here's a little suggested reading nonetheless:

Jesus, if you believe that "playing video games makes us smarter" crap, then I think you're even MORE pathetic.  Anything to justify playing "Call of War" or whatever, huh?  Doesn't it ever get boring?  Doesn't it bother you that you vicariously control people doing things in a video game that you can't do in real life?  Most men used to play football.  Then most men started just  watching football.  Then, (era of video games) most "men" (really 12 year-olds, despite the real age) started "playing" simulated versions of football.  And now, we have people watching others play simulated versions  of football ("Madden Nation.)  No wonder your wife lets you go to strip clubs.  You not a real big  participant in life are you, vansmack?  You prefer to just watch and offer commentary.

i seriously hope this make BW's head explode... (hint it also means that i too often play video games more than six hours a week and just got the replacement Guitar Hero III disc in the mail)

but I routinely will play a nintendo DS games while also watching TV...  there is nothing like battling lego stormtroppers while watching the daily show on the dvr...

(another hint, i'm not looking for anything more than a little escapism, fun, etc when playing video games)

don't be so harsh on slappy, he's at least been able to liven up the board of late and IMHO most of his shtick is tongue and cheek... BW just wants me watch even more VH1 celebreality shows and continue to destroy the fabric of society.

Occasionally I like to escape to a land where I can rescue a princess....

And for anyone of you who have even played a Zelda game, this Robot Chicken parody is sure to make you laugh!
