i pad mini versus regular version of said ipad? my mother would like to know, bless her heart. she loves her new intro into the world of iphone and lugs around her laptop everywhere. it, for once, is a buying choice that i find acceptable for a old person who cannot understand the dvd player still.
For those that have asked me about which product to purchase, I have recommended that they wait a few weeks and choose a used iPad 3 when they are readily available. There are enough folks out there that will be selling their iPad 3's to have the latest and greatest iPad 4 (A6 processor) even though the A5 was sufficient.
I can never in good conscience recommend the iPad Mini at $329 when you can get the iPad 2 at $399 (same internals, just a smaller form factor and upgraded front camera). The iPad mini is a $250-$275 machine at best and they will be that cheap in a matter of months. If you have to buy a new one, I'd recommend the iPad 2.
Personally, I'm waiting for Google's Nexus 10 announcement on Monday to upgrade my tablet.
