If anyone wants a ticket, I'll be outside the club at 10:30.  Red sweater coat & jeans.  Just yell out "hey Bags" or "Hey Nancy"

Something tells me there's more to come from this lineup.

Show was insane. Curfews be damned. They played just about everything you'd want to hear and still made time to hang out at the merch booth until everybody who had swag to be signed was satisfied.

Highlights were "Senorita," "True Believer," and "Rocket" (w/Mic Harrison helpin' out.)

I thought the show was great too.  I listened to those first couple of albums and eps ad nauseum back in the day, so I was thrilled with the lineup and the set list.  Sam Powers always seemed like a decent guy, but he's no Tom Pappas.

easily one of the best shows of the year

I dunno if they record thats great but I think john may not be into touring as much anymore. Fair enough

and I really didnt notice this untill now but early superdrag seemed a lot more influenced by MBV than I remember. That tremolo guitar sound that superdrag gets was really good sounding

and it was cool hearing john play a MBV song for a bit

I've been listening to that tour-only double CD of demos all day.  Shit is hott.

almost forgot...

Mic Harrison and the High Score kicked ass. They crammed in a ton of good stuff in their 30ish minutes. Robbie Trosper is a guitar god. The "rock and roll buildup" did not disappoint. Sadly though, no one burst into flames.

Very good show. Superdrag were, well, super. I was pretty damn tired by the end and was rather thankful there was only a single encore. But it was definitely worth it. I'm glad I dragged my lazy ass out to this show.

I didn't really care for Mic Harrison and The High Score, but maybe I just wasn't in the mood for his brand of southern rock. The only songs I liked were the two that the lead guitarist (Jasper?) sang. His first song was blistering. If he started his own band, I'd check him out.

I'm kind of wishing I had picked up that tour-only double album ggw mentioned. I didn't realize it was tour-only. Picked up a couple other Superdrag albums instead.
